DAY 01
Upon arrival to São Paulo international airport at 4:15pm, connect with the 7:20pm direct flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival at 9:05pm, meet your driver and guide at the arrival’s lounge of Foz do Iguassú international airport and transfer to your accommodation at Hotel das Cataratas, in a 30min drive.
When travelling all the way to Foz do Iguassu, it is worth staying somewhere you can really appreciate the falls. The Hotel das Cataratas, in Brazil, is our preferred option. It offers a high level of service and, more importantly, the unbeatable location inside the Brazilian National Park, which allows you to enjoy the falls outside the normal opening hours of the park, avoiding large crowds.

DAY 02
Breakfast at the hotel.
Since the falls are at your doorstep, a short walk (200m) leads to a prime view of them. Here a 1km track begins through the lush forest. This is a pleasant and very easy walk where you’ll come across some tropical fauna and flora. The end of your track leads to more falls, and an elevator leading back up, closer to the road.
Continue on the road that leads to the entrance to the Brazilian National Park, and right outside you will find the Bird Park, the biggest of its kind in Brazil. Get close to the birds in big walk-in cages, and take the chance to see a big range of colourful butterflies. This park plays an important role in rehabilitating birds rescued from animal traffic, and setting them free in nature.
Then it would be time for the most exciting experience of the day: the Macuco Safari!
Take the Macuco jeep trail by going down a dirt road in the middle of the forest. Venture 600 meters through the forest and visit the small Macuco falls before arriving on the banks of the Iguaçu River. Here, the best part of the tour begins: a boat ride upriver. In safe open boats with outboard engines you’ll cruise up through the Iguaçu Canyon, where you’ll enjoy an unforgettable perspective of the falls. If the level of the river is favourable, you can get right next to the falls.
Transfer back to the hotel and be at leisure for the evening.

At 7am, meet your driver and guide at the hotel’s lobby and head back to Foz do Iguaçu international airport (IGU), for the 9:45am flight to Manaus, with one stop in São Paulo. Upon arrival at 4:50pm, after clearing customs and claiming luggage, your driver will be waiting at the arrival’s lounge, holding a sign with your names on it. This person will then take you to your charter yacht and you’ll start cruising this afternoon.

Breakfast at the lodge
You will have navigated upriver during the night and will wake up inside the rainforest. This day will be designed for you to make the most of the Amazon!
After lunch, at 3pm, your hydroplane will pick you up and take you to Anavilhanas lodge, your home for the next couple of days.
Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge has a very privileged location in the Anavilhanas Archipelago, said to be the largest river archipelago in the world. Rooms for two are in bungalows with thatched roofs, aligned on the property in a semi circle, echoing the layout of some local indigenous settlements. The décor is simple, yet effective; we think that it is the only tastefully decorated hotel in the entire Brazilian Amazon.

Hiking on dryland forests

Recreational Piranha fishing OR JUNGLE HIKE INTO THE FLOODED FOREST
Enjoy the amazing scenery and catch some fish during this fun activity done in canoes along the igarapés. In the dry season, from September to December, water gets warmer and fish are more concentrated in the National Park, where fishing is not allowed. However, during this same period, it is possible to walk through the islands of the Anavilhanas Archipelago and to know closely the differences of fauna and flora of the firm forest and the forest of igapó, characteristics of the Amazon Forest.
Sunrise contemplation
Leaving at dawn, the guest will be taken to the islands to watch the birds flying and the beauty of all the colours when the sun rises in the Amazon sky.

DAY 07
Breakfast at the lodge
In the morning take your time to enjoy the lodge’s activities. At 1pm your hydroplane will land next to the yacht and take you back to Manaus while flying over the famous meeting of the waters.
You’ll land around 2pm and take the 3:25pm direct flight to Rio. Upon arrival at 8:25pm meet your driver and guide at the arrival’s lounge and head for 50min to the JW Marriott hotel.

DAY 08
Breakfast at the hotel.
The first stop of this compact city tour is the Corcovado Mountain and the statue of Christ the Redeemer probably the most well-known symbol of Rio, and one of the 7 Wonders of the World. You will reach the mountain top in a small electric train going through lush vegetation. Afterwards walk through the bohemian and picturesque Santa Teresa neighbourhood and stop for lunch in one of the great restaurants of the area.
Continue to the historic centre of Rio, where your guide will show you some of the most important places and buildings, such as Rio’s Cathedral, the Aquaduct and Escadaria Selarón, and tell you facts and curiosities of the city history. End the day at the Sugarloaf Mountain one of the best places to watch the sunset in Rio. You will reach the summit by a double cable car ride that starts by the Urca Mountain and is an attraction itself.
